Charmander with Pokeballs Toothbrush or Pencil Holder

thingiverse

Charmander toothbrush or pencil holder. The hole is around 45mm, to make sure it could take at least 2 brushes. Enjoy! WARNING: The tail goes lower than the feet ( to reduce the supports needed) so lower his feet to the build platform before slicing, and the extra tail will be lost. I'll fix it if/when I get a chance. I got my 1st 3d printer for x-mas, and after messing around with trying to get a non-level stock bed to work, I finally got my printer working with a piece of glass to have a flat place to print. That meant it was time to try my hand at 3d drawing/editing for the 1st time in 10 years (and I needed a new toothbrush holder my wife would approve of.) The Pokeballs are hollow to hold things. I still haven't calibrated ANY of the other settings, so my supports were getting knocked, and I had to play tricks to make sure the bridging worked. You can probably print MUCH faster than I did with a properly working printer, but I let this run for about 2.5 days to make sure it was right! Print Settings Printer: Sunhokey Prusa I3 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .1mm Infill: 40% Notes: I printed this starting at 40mm/s with 200c nozzle and 60c bed, and slowed down to a 50% feed rate and 190c nozzle and 55c bed before getting up to his right hand, which needed bridging. I resumed the speed when the bridging was complete. This was sliced with Cura, and the supports were over the build plate only. Honestly, it really only needed support under the arms, nose and chin. Cura WAY over-supported where it didn't need it, and made a mess. Post-Printing Because of the supports, this will need some cutting and smoothing. I sliced with Cura, and the pictures shows NO post processing other than pulling off their supports.
