Chassis for Savi's Workshop lightsaber

Like everyone else, I love my Savi's Workshop lightsaber and have additional components to swap around on it. And also like everyone else, I need another chassis to store those parts. There are other models for a plain chassis available but they all have several practical problems. I decided to make my own version of the chassis to fix those issues. First, I hollowed out the top and bottom sections and gave them both an extra thick wall, strong enough that I actually tested my polycarbonate print of this by *standing* on it. Second, I added slots on the top and bottom so they can only be matched to the middle section in one way with the threads aligned correctly, no more wondering if your scrap metal parts are going to be rotated incorrectly. Next, I added directional markers to the top and bottom sections, an arrow pointing to the emitter section and a flat T pointing to the pommel section in order to make it easier to put your extra parts on. Next, I seriously beefed up the internal structure of the middle section so it won't snap in half when you tighten a sleeve on, can't tell you how many other chassis prints I broke that way. I haven't broken a single one with this design (yet!), and like I said, I stood my full 230 pound body on top of this version. And finally, I added matching slots and set the internal diameter in the top section to match the tabs, diameter, and depth of a Savi's blade, so if you have an extra blade or blade plug, it will fit in this chassis. I've print six of these now have and nothing else I feel needs to be fixed, so it's time to share it with everyone. I print with 25% fill and custom supports under the obvious overhang sections on all three pieces. On my printer my total print time is about 15 hours. Enjoy! :-)
