My attempt to make a really cheap spool holder box. I made a large plastic purchase from "MakerBot" and needed a place to store and dispense them from, so I got a cheap plastic box and lid, I designed spacers to fit the pole and spools and keep them separated. The spacer are needed as I found out when my feeder assembly was trying to lift the spools before they would turn on the rod, now they dispense beautifully. BTW, the first image is of the box before I finished, I will try to get a couple more images showing assembly. I hope to add a better attachment point on the feeder assembly for the bundle of color filaments, the current one did not work out (can you guess the feature on my last update that was supposed to work but did not?) I have an UP! printer that I do take around to other locations, this makes traveling with multiple color spools easier. Instructions I drilled a hole through both sides of the plastic box for a closet pole I had laying around. Drilled small feeder holes in the lid. Assembled spacers and spools on pole Dropped all the desiccant packets that came with the spools into bottom of box (refresh as necessary). I then spread a pillow case over half the spools (this prevents then from unraveling or over clocking). Pull filament through holes in lid and closed lid on edges of fabric. Pull filaments up and bundle them near printer for easy switch out of color (your choice on how you want to do this for now).
