Cheerson CX-20 ebay Gimbal Mounting Bracket (alternative)

This is an alternative version of my previous gimbal mount, it moves the gimbal back almost to the centre of drone. The mounting holes are now slots allowing approximately 20mm of adjustability. Please note that it should be fitted to the drone backwards (the pointy end at the front) compared to be previous bracket, this solves the problem of the thumb screws being difficult to access. I've not printed this so can't say for sure how it performs, one consideration it that it will be difficult to connect the R/C control cables to the drone. My (untested) plan here was to remove the hard plastic covers from the cable connectors and cover them in heat shrink, this should hopefully make then flexible/short enough to fit. For more info please see the thingie this was remixed from. ====== UPDATE ====== As you can see from the new photos I've printed and installed this new design. As anticipated fitting the connectors to the bottom of the drone was tricky but removing the hard plastic connector housing and replacing it with heat shrink worked well. The camera now sits almost at the centre of the drone so I'm expecting flight stability to be much better. With the GoPro set to medium FOV I don't have any problems with the stock landing gear being visible in the frame/shot. Even with the GoPro slightly pushed over on the mount to accommodate the USB connector I used for an FPV feed. I won't be developing this any further so have now removed the work in progress status from this thingie. Thanks for looking, feel free to ask questions! =======================================
