Cherry/Kailh Keyboard Switch Mod/Lube Station

Cherry/Kailh Keyboard Switch Mod/Lube Station

thingiverse

A "lube station" or "mod station" for mechanical keyboard switches (Cherry MX/Kailh). Inspired by the many lube stations out there, this one includes a receptacle for the spring, stem, and lower housing. On the side is room for brushes, lube bottles, and the larger version has a small tray for odds and ends. (Note: the photos are of an earlier model that didn't have rounded stem slots. Also the small version has fewer columns in the photo, that size was less useful.) I used this to quickly and painlessly make Holy Pandas for a 60%. Without this lube station, it would have been assembling one at a time, or having buckets for each part, leading to springs getting tangled and other headaches. The large version in the photo is printed in wood PLA and used the "ironing" feature on PrusaSlicer to get the wood grain look. It was really a happy accident.
