Chevy LS3 Engine Crate

Chevy LS3 Engine Crate

thingiverse

The 3D printed LS3 engine crate is designed to go with the working Chevy LS3 Engine model created by ericthepoolboy on thingiverse.com. This crate has been designed to be printed on a 200mm by 200mm printer. Some of the planks will need to be stood on end and rotated by 45 degrees to fit on this small printer. The crate is assembled into three parts: the base which holds the engine, the four sided box which can be lifted, and the removable top. Each of the main assemblies is connected by the same magnet disc pairs as the LS3 engine design. All of the printed planks are intended to be bolted together with M3 socket head screws. I printed my option 2 design with two shades of wood colored PLA. See the assembly instructions PDF in the file download for information about printing and assembly. Check out my Youtube video for some printing instructions as well as full assembly instructions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB4J38AWPVQ Version List: 08Dec19 12:30pm CST: Original Package 08Dec19 07:34pm CST: Adjust scale of cradle.stl 18Jan20 08:08am CDT: new Base_Endx2.stl, was missing holes
