HISTORY OF THE DUROTANDurotan is the son of Garad and Geyah, the leader of the Northern Wolf clan. He became great leader who opposed the alliance with the demons, on which Gul'dan insisted. He was exiled to Azeroth along with his clan, where he found a new home in the Alterac Valley. Draka his wife gave birth to his son and gives him a name Go'el, who many years later became the greatest leader of the Horde named Thrall. Unlike his brothers Ga'nar and Fenris, he was the only one who most respected the family and the traditions of his people. After the Fenris disappear, Garad made Durotan the chieftain of the North Wolf clan instead of the quick-tempered Ga'nar. Durotan and his wife were killed by the hands of Gul'dan's spies. He didn’t succumb to the temptation to use Demon’s Blood and was ready to fight for the purity of the orcs' blood.
