A miniature porcelain tea pot from a child’s toy tea set recovered from the Caulkers’ Houses in Fell’s Point, Baltimore, Maryland. This tea pot likely dates from the late 19th-century. In the late 17th and 18th centuries, miniature china dinnerware sets were made in England and China. Their purpose was to furnish the miniature rooms and cabinets that were popular with adults. In the 19th century, these small sets began to be used by children.
