The exhaust fan shipped with this $295 Chinese Laser from EBay just does not seal well, so I created the backplate using the laser cutter itself from an 1/4 plywood piece (ExhaustPanel.svg), with a hole that lines up with the rectangular slot in the back. The exhaust slot to 4" pipe adapter (LaserExhaustAdapter.stl) was 3D printed and when assembled, fits snugly in the back. The excess edges were taped off with packaging tape. The front exhaust plenum was too long (and interfered with the X-axis) so I cut away 50mm with a Rotozip saw. What was left behind was an ugly jagged edge, so the exhaust intake was outfitted with two pieces of 3D printed beauty covers (LaserExhaustIntake.stl) shown in black, to prettify and minimize the chance of cutting my finger on the edges. The Exhaust Intake pieces fit a 200mm x 20mm exhaust plenum opening.
