Chinese Desktop CNC Router Clamp Upgrade Kit

This kit is an add-on upgrade for the clamps that ship with inexpensive desktop routers. These clamps consist of a slotted flange 50mm x 18mm, 2 M6 bolts and a wingnut with washer. The kit adds a stay for the end of the bolt that fits in the slot (use the flat top hex bolt for this, which fits in the opening in the stay. The two end pieces friction fit on each end of the flange. The knob needs an M6 hex bolt in the hex opening. The modified clamp has the following advantages: -The bolt in the slot doesn't rotate, so there is no need to hold it while tightening. You can adjust the clamp with one hand. -The end pieces provide a more solid grip on the workpiece. -The end pieces can be placed in either direction, and either or both can be removed to provide multiple clamping setups. Tip: The machining on the stock metal clamps tends to be rough. Going over the rough spots with a file will make it much easier to slide the end pieces on and off.
