Chinese Leather Shoe Patcher (CLSP) Thread Stand

This assembly replaces the inadequate thread holder on the manual sewing machine called the Chinese Leather Shoe Patcher or CLSP. In addition to the 3D printed parts, you will need some 6mm threaded rod (or a long 6mm bolt), 3 x 6mm nuts, 2 x 6mm washers (optional), some Crazy Glue and a utility knife to scrape/trim any parts that need fine tuning. You'll need some way to cut your threaded rod to length (size to fit and use a hack saw or a dremel or something similar) and a pair of pliers or two to tighten/adjust the rod and nuts in place. I also needed a 6mm Tap to clean out the threads on my CLSP to get my threaded rod to seat properly. The photos provide assembly/installation details. If you wish you can use washers between the upper nuts and the 3D printed base - do not over tighten these nuts to avoid crushing the Base. The narrow cone works best for the thread I have. The cones screw directly into the base using a 1/4"-20 thread. You only need one cone. Once installed you just place your spool/cone of thread on top of the cone and run the thread up and through the upper eye of the Thread Arm Assembly. Adjust the angle of the entire stand assembly as you wish to work best for your machine.
