This watch will be using a special way to represent time. The numbers are replaced by ancient Chinese characters, which are of important historical meaning in the Chinese history and world civilization. Therefore I think it will be a good way for Chinese to review what we have achieved in the long history. Besides, I get rid of the hands of the clock and display the time in another way. For the hour, the corresponding character will be brightened. For the minutes, I use a circle which will be lighted up according to the actual minute. Take the first picture as an example, the time now is 00:55 AM or 12:55PM. At the center of the dial, I put a “Tai Ji” picture on. In Chinese culture, it is the perfect status of being, the Yin and Yang have the mutual promotion and restraint between each other, therefore nurturing all the things in the universe. Also I put a dragon on the belt. We all know dragons have many important meanings in Chinses history. Chinese dragons are legendary creatures which traditionally symbolize potent and auspicious powers. The dragon is also a symbol of power, strength and good luck.
