CHOPSTICKS PHONE & TABLET STAND

thingiverse

A system of components designed to combine bamboo chopsticks with 3D printed parts to make a very efficient and sturdy stand for mobile phones, tablets, iPads, books, and paper. it's only been available on other 3D .stl platforms previously but finally got it to upload here on Thingiverse. This is part of an ongoing design experiment - another step at developing this chopstick frame system to add rigidity and stability to the form. To make a stand: 1. Print at least 2 L-stand 2.Trim chopsticks to desired length (for example, 6cm for phone holder, 12cm for tablet holder) 2. Print 2 cap min. for each chopstick you intend to use 3. Slide chopstick into frames 4. Cap the end of the chopsticks to secure the system (depending on the dia. of the chopsticks, I find that sometimes the square ones work tighter) 5. Enjoy your stand. Tips: I found out that if I trim the chopsticks at incremental lengths and sliding the frame in at an angle...the frame holds much better together - taking advantage of bamboo’s ability to bend a little
