Chord Wheel

Chord Wheel

thingiverse

This is a wheel designed to visualize the notes in any chord. The base has each note of a chromatic scale. Different wheels can be placed on top of the base. These wheels cover every note that is not part of a specified harmony or chord. Currently paired with the bass is the wheel for a major triad. By rotating the wheel, a student can see which notes belong to a major triad starting at any given note. This is a work in progress I plan to finish soon. The wheel is primarily designed for set theory composition. I have made a wheel with wedges that can be placed and removed to cover or reveal each interval. I am also planning on making more wheels for other common chords. An openSCAD program to generate wheels is also in the works.
