He asked for the copies to be slightly larger, so I obliged. Took some caliper measurements of his original white nylon piece, and printed a test copy in green PLA, then black ASA, which is weather & UV resistant. ASA turns out to be a bit too stiff for this application, so I turned to the folks at Taulman, explained the application & they recommended Nylon 645. This was my first time printing in nylon, and it took some tweaking, but I eventually got very nice prints with strength and flexibility. Please notice that the ends are slightly different sizes, and one end connects to the middle on a tangent, while the other is off-tangent, creating a small bump where it meets the middle bar. This is by design. The larger end faces UP to hook into the soffet/eave of the house, and the bump provides a pressure point to help keep it in place. The smaller end faces down & you simply string your lights through there. (You can also use these to hook over your gutters instead of under the soffet)
