Christmas Ornaments from Pentagrams

Christmas Ornaments from Pentagrams

thingiverse

Here are two Christmas Ornaments made of pentagrams. Both ornaments were constructed by replacing the faces of a dodecahedron with pentagrams. In one case the holes between pentagrams were filled with 60 equilateral triangles making a polyhedron - a small ditrigonal icosidodecahedron sometimes called a small triambic icosidodecahedron. In the second case the pentagrams were made into slabs so that they formed a self supporting ornament. See the openSCAD code. Instructions It should be possible to print both ornaments directly on the build surface. The open ornament may need some cleaning up but is quite sturdy.
