Chunky Analogue Pocket Grip

Chunky Analogue Pocket Grip

thingiverse

This is a very ugly, lumpy grip for the Analogue Pocket. It was made by mashing clay around a dummy Pocket, scanning the resulting shape using photogrammetry, then mirroring and lightly cleaning up the mesh in Fusion 360. I sculpted the clay to fit my hands specifically, so while it's hideous, it's super comfortable! If you have similar hands to mine, it might be comfortable for you too. If not, you can use it as a piece of abstract modern art a la Beetlejuice. The grip has slightly less than 1mm of clearance around the Pocket itself to make room for some sort of soft liner. I used some 1mm self adhesive velvet from Amazon, which makes the fit snug enough that the Pocket doesn't move or come loose during normal play. If I were to go back and add anything to this, I would make the top of the grip flush with the face of the Pocket (it sits about 2mm below it), as well as add some kind of leg to the center of the backside so that the Pocket is horizontal when placed on a surface.
