Simple design for a floating whopper plopper. Two tail options and two body options: - The hollow body is designed for resin printers, and will print hollow with a 1.5mm shell, it will not float but will just barely sink. If you reel at medium speed it will run topwater - The solid body is for FDM printers, choose your level of infill to let it sink or float. - Single-blade plopper tail for more noise - Dual-blade propeller style tail for more churning To fully construct you will need: - 1x churn body of your choice - 1 or 2x tails of your choice (you can put two in a row for extra noise) - Thick stainless steel, copper or aluminum wire (~0.7 - 1.5mm) - Twist rings x2 - 12mm steel, brass or lead ball x1 - treble hooks x2 - Model paint and epoxy sealer 1) Print your model of choice, paint and seal as you like. 2) Pre-glue the weight hole, then press-fit the 12mm ball into the opening on the bottom a) If you can't find 12mm balls, you can substitute with 5min epoxy and either lead, copper, or steel shot. 3) Cut wire to length, insert through body and tail portion, twist a loop in each end and wrap the wire around itself to secure. 4) Cut a length of double wrapped wire, insert into the hole in the bottom and epoxy/glue it in to secure. 5) Twist on metal rings, attach treble hooks. 6) if desired, drill an 8mm hole in the top and drop in plastic 6mm bb's to add a rattle effect, seal the hole with epoxy afterwards 6) Check all connections for strength, re-glue if needed.
