The pins and knobs are printed large with PLA, a size that's 2% bigger than usual. The pins must be printed flat, with supports holding them up at half the strength of the rest of the part. At the same time, the knobs should be printed upside down on their side, without any supports to get in the way, and also larger than normal by 2%. The top plate is printed using PETG for its flexibility. This makes it easier to pour out the contents of the can when you're done with them. It's printed at full size, with a wall thickness of 0.8mm and no extra material inside to make it heavier. Remember that plastics are highly flammable materials. To keep everything safe, put some water in the bottom of the can before you start printing. You could also glue an aluminum plate inside the top plate for added protection. This setup was designed to fit perfectly with the coffee cans we have and the railing on my house. The can itself is 157mm across. The post that holds up the railing is a sturdy 26mm thick.
