Sink Air Gap Drain with Ramp

This is an air gap cover for a kitchen sink. Ours would occasionally overflow, spilling water all over the counter. This should never happen because it's an air gap and not a water conduit. Unfortunately if your drain line gets plugged with food, water overflows through the air gap. This happened to me when cleaning our juicer, and pulp clogged the drain line. To prevent getting water all over the counter, I designed a cap that has a ramp to drain overflowing water back into the sink. This keeps the counter dry. I added trellis to the archway to avoid using supports. It also adds a nice aesthetic and obscures the plastic drain attachment.
