This limits a lot the motor choices and prevent using big motors that bring better and smoother flight behaviour when you go at 3". The second one is the quite common whoop sandwich build style, with the vista / vtx on top of the aio. So i wanted one and before making a design from scratch i wanted to try something : what if i take a good frame that i already had and just adapt it to a cinewhoop. So here's the Cine Wu 3" : an adapted version of the Wu Tank UL frame with ducts. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3mHKedPVdu0" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> In short : the conversion is just putting on the custom arms provided here and throwing in some ready made ducts. that's it ! I wanted something very simple to build and maintain so here's the principle : * it uses the body plates (front, rear and top plate) of the Wu Tank : check those here [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4888084](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4888084) * i made some custom 3.5" arms at 25° angle (provided here) with 9x9mm and 12x12mm motor mounts * I used some injected plastic ducts from HGLRC that fit 12x12mm motors : [https://www.banggood.com/4-PCS-HGLRC-2_5-Inch-or-3-inch-Propeller-Protective-Guard-for-RC-Drone-FPV-Racing-p-1605590.html](https://www.banggood.com/4-PCS-HGLRC-2_5-Inch-or-3-inch-Propeller-Protective-Guard-for-RC-Drone-FPV-Racing-p-1605590.html) * i made a small corner piece in TPU that attaches the ducts together. Those provide better stability and wobbling avoidance while remaining very light (1g each). Those work on the hglrc ducts obviously. My Setup : I fly a rig with : * 1804 4S motors * Gemfan 3" 5 blades * 850 mAh 4S lipo * Caddx Naked Vista, * V1 Betafpv F722 AIO (the one with BLHeli_32 escs) running betaflight 4.3 RC3. * Tbs Crossfire with full size immortal-T antenna. * Naked Gopro Hero 7 The setup is stock and just made some rate and throttle curve adaptations following an [Albert Kim YT Video on Cinewhoop smooth flying](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IULJbyXzLXs). That's it. The build comes at around 200g dry which is i think 20-30g heavier than a CineLog30. This obviously heavier but the build is way more capable (bigger motors, more room, etc.). For the frame body parts, using 1.5mm carbon plates for the rear and top plate is a viable option to save some more weight. This kind of quad is not supposed to be crashed very hard.
