Circuit Board Slide Top Box

Circuit Board Slide Top Box

This is a parametric OpenSCAD model for a 3D printed box that uses a scrap circuit board for a sliding top. The stl files are models I made using the scad project. Unless you're making them fit the same board I used, you'll need to modify the variables and export new models to print. I suggest adding somewhere between .1 mm and .3 mm so the board slides without too much friction. If it's too loose, just put a little piece of electrical tape on the edge of the board and it'll be fine. Definitely use "everywhere" supports so that the slide area comes out clean. I picked up the scrap circuit boards from Sparkfun's "ding and dent" page (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15759). Perhaps rafts from previous prints could be used instead... I did a little write up on this project here: smolderingdiode.com
