Circular Hole Tester
thingiverse
I often struggle with printing circular gaps where I plan to friction fit some component later on. I may need to ensure a part is tightly fitted, or verify it can slide smoothly without being loose, or possibly have something grip securely enough to hold but be easily detachable. When faced with such situations, I usually fabricate a quick block with some holes in it for testing purposes, but this was becoming an inconvenience due to its frequent occurrence. So, I created a parameterized scad file that allows me to produce them as needed. To utilize it, simply open the customizer and adjust the parameters to generate the types of holes you'd like to test out. Print using the settings you intend to use on your final model. Once printed, you can then test fit your parts in the various holes to determine which size is correct for your final model.
With this file you will be able to print Circular Hole Tester with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Circular Hole Tester.
