This is the interdimensional space station city of the serie Rick and Morty, inhabited by Ricks and Morties from different realities. I made this with SolidWorks 2018, using images of the serie as reference. There are many scenes that the Citadel is seen completely from the outside (s1e10, s3e1 and s3e7), but it's always the same shot, at the same angle, so some parts, their size and/or shape, are highly speculative, specially in the lower part. The file's names explained: name_1_x_10_y.stl is 1 : x * 10^y. So _1_6_10_7 is 1:600000000 or one in 60 million. The size of the Citadel Like with the most of my sci-fi models, the exact size is not clear enough, but I wouldn't do this if I couldn't make a decent guess. To calculate this size, I used a view of some buildings and a highway with some cars. I extrapolate the size of the cars (~4m) to calculate the width of the building; and the approximate the distance between two tall buildings, as how many building can fit between two of them. With this size I can extrapolate the size of the main disk with the distance between two buildings. Of course all of this assumptions have a big error margin, and every little change in any of them, makes the total size change a lot. Images used to approximate the citadel size. To verify if the calculated size is realistic for a vessel like that, I compare it in the same scale with a city with similar population density, in which the landscapes of the Citadel could be inspired, that is New York City. What I get is that the center disk is about the size of Brooklyn, so I consider this approximation is good enough. Comparison of the citadel with NYC. Screenshot from Google Maps
