Introduction ------------ I wanted to use my Thrustmaster 28GT wheel with my soon-to-arrive sim-pli.city SW20 wheel base. I didn't want to modify the wheel in any way so I combined a couple of projects, both software and hardware to make my own mix. Resources --------- The part that connects to the wheel, guides the cable and fits the plug are actually two projects: * Modular Thrustmaster wheel mount plus cable: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4379504 * https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3117355: RamjetX Logitech to Thrustmaster Quick Release Adaptor Kit The signals from the wheel's buttons are translated to standard USB HID commands by using a Sparkfun Pro Micro (compatible) controller board and software from Noel McCullagh: * Pro Micro board (pretty much any compatible board will do): https://www.amazon.nl/Paradisetronic-com-3V-module-ATmega32U4-Leonardo-kaart-vergelijkbaar/dp/B07YNWQ6G1 * Firmware: https://www.noelmccullagh.com/ * Case: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2758098 And you need a suitable cable, like this one: * PS/2 extension cable, coiled: https://www.onlinekabelshop.nl/ps-2-spiraal-verlengkabel-2-meter Construction ------------ You need the locking ring from RamjetX, the TM_Big part from the modular wheel mount, my part and 3 m4x40mm bolts and nuts. Read the instructions from Noel McCullagh for flashing the controller board. The rest should be self explenatory. If you have questions, just ask.
