Sorry, no attention grabbing story at the beginning of this one! If one desires much more detailed models, they can be found over at my new storefront on Wargaming3d. https://www.wargaming3d.com/vendor/eastcoastironclads/ This set consists of a series of miscellaneous ships from both sides that are entirely compatible with my sets of Union and Confederate ironclads. The ships in this set currently are: USS Miami USS Minnesota USS Sassacus USS Susquehanna USS Unadilla USS Mississippi CSS Alabama Generic Tugboat (based on CSS Teaser) Added 9/21/2020 USS Housatonic CSS Selma Added 9/28/2020 USS Keokuk Added 9/29/2020 Generic River Gunboat (based on USS Lexington) Converted models to metric to alleviate slicer weirdness I will continue modeling several more ships and add them to the set as I complete them. With this set there are a good number of ships that haven't been modeled because there are ALOT of wooden ships like these, and if I sat down to try and model them all I would go insane. With these ships I have focused on notable ships and first in class ships through the years of the Civil War (1861-1865), as with my other ship sets, if there is a specific ship that anyone would like modeled, send me a message and I will model it and add it to the list. The masts are printable on a FDM printer although resin is ideal for printing them. I used Cura with 0.15 layer height, using tree supports. The spars for the spanker sails come out a little thin and spindly, a layer of super glue or possibly white glue can help strengthen them, alternatively they can be replaced with wire.
