Clearance test

Clearance test

cults3d

This is a small clearance test for your 3D printer ranging from 0.1 to 0.6 gaps. Two tests are included in a single model: one tests the print-in-place capabilities of your printer which you can check by trying to turn the individual cylinder inserts with 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6 gaps and the last one that you are able to turn is the current max tolerance capability of the printer. The other test is performed by trying to insert the 6 mm dowel into the holes in the part which have the same range of gaps as the print-in-place test. The exact gap on each hole is marked on the underside of the part with small circular holes, each being equal to 0.1 mm (with the half-circle being 0.05 mm). This test can be performed as a reference to aid you to design functional parts which need to work together, fit in one another or require hinged joints.
