Topor — more durable instrument, less short-wielded and featuring working blades, positioned within the hand grip. The versatility of a topor has been defined by having an attached blade that functions similarly to perpendicularly-aligned shears. By exception, machetes are often used for chopping wood. With ruggedness as one of its qualities, topor also manifested itself as a distributed handheld tool and played an instrumental role in serving the primary purposes it was intended for as well. Significantly more so, the use of the tool declined significantly due to it's implementation as a metallurgical tool.
