The loss of a wheel by theft can be an expensive replacement proposition and can leave you stranded in a compromised position. Clic aims to curve these misfortunes. A semi-permanent element, fastened to your seat-post, Clic can stay on your frame while in motion, but locks your back wheel to the frame when you need to leave your bicycle unattended. With the flick (click!) of a switch, the lock springs out to hug your back wheel, rendering it immovable and safe from theft. It can be used alone if you’re making a quick stop into a shop, or in addition to other locking mechanisms when leaving it for a longer period of time. The shackle is composed of a steel alloy so that it remains light, but just as strong as a U-lock, ensuring the safety of your wheel and frame, and covered in a rubber coating so it won’t scratch your finish. Clic is rust-proof with a covered key entry to protect against manipulations and water damage. Clic is also fitted with a rear LED red light, activated by solar sensors to turn on when the sun goes down. This model was printed and tested for use. Photos show actual 3D print attachment.
