Clip-On Laptop Organizer

Clip-On Laptop Organizer

The use of this project is to have a place to store pens, pencils, mechanical pencils, highlighters, etc., and items like pencil lead holders and USB drives without the use of a desk or flat surface. This project should fit on most standard issue school laptops, allowing students to store writing utensils nearby without covering up the camera or getting in the way of the functionality of the laptop. This design helps students in online learning because not everyone has access to things like desks in their homes and having a compressed organizer lets the need for this be lesser. Some issues I ran into while designing this project was that inventor didn't convert the files into STL properly, minimizing the size greatly. I also ran into the issue of size and design functionality. If I could redesign this again, I would make the pockets and length of the back extendable to allow for larger amounts of storage space for those who have or need it. I would also make the clip extendable for larger or smaller laptops. 3D printing helps strengthen this design by allowing for multiple to be made at once, as well as allowing the size of the holes to be consistent between models.
