Clip Xperia XZ Premium to Brodit

This clip is to be installed on a Brodit holder with standard drill holes. Usually you buy a car-specific base plate that snaps into the air ducts or some holes in the cockpit and then buy a smartphone specific clip and connect clip and base plate, so that any smartphone fits any car. This clip is for using the Sony Xperia XZ Premium with your car's baseplate in case you just changed your phone, not your car. This thingy got a hole to the side where to put the loading cable, you just have to hot-glue it in - or leave it detachable, your choice. It is a tight fit with not to much pressure needed to slide the Xperia in. The lower rail or guide got an extra notch to keep the right button(s) clear in the sliding process, so that they are not touched or hold down. The size of <12cm lets you print it with smaller printers like with my Snapmaker and the fingerprint sensitive on/off button and the volume buttons are still accessible, just the hardware cam button is unaccessible. I upload two versions, one with a german setphrase like "have a good trip!" and one 'pure'. If you want me I can personalize your plate with text or anything that should be embossed like a saint's badge in case you are catholic or a lucky charm in case you are more of a superstitious guy / girl. To get this thing sturdy I recommend 25% infill, but as there is not so much pressure on the weakest parts - the side rails - as the distances are very accurate to dimension and they mainly consist of walls, not infill, you can lower the infill rate to your liking. Edit: I noticed that even it is tight fit my PLA print somehow shrunk after two or three days in my car so the holder got too tight. I uploaded a V2 with bigger tolerances on the rail, so you should put some tape inside the upper rail to tighten it to your liking. When the print starts to shrink just remove some of the tape. Sorry for this, but I just can't change physical behaviour of PLA. So: Download the original "Xperia_Brodit_pure.stl" for a tight one, perhaps it works for you Download "Xperia Brodit v2.stl" for a wider one and tape it to the width you like. edit after some hot sommer days: Hotglue will turn soft in a hot car, so I recommend *not* to use hotglue on the stick. Perhaps use hotglue sparsely to initially fix the plug and the use any hard glue.
