Clips that will pull Raceway Crown molding tight to the wall when they are screwed into the wall below the mounting brackets.

These clips are for the 5-3/4″ Classic Colonial Profile. They may not work with other sizes. But the same concept should work with only small design changes.

Long story:

I purchased a bunch of Raceway Crown PVC crown molding so I could install some cove lighting in my apartment. I figured this type of molding would be easily removed when I move out. The molding worked out pretty well. It was easy to cut with just a hacksaw. The mounting brackets were perfect for attaching LED strip lighting to. The only problem was that the molding was designed to be installed adjacent to the ceiling. Without the close contact with the ceiling the molding hangs loose with a big gap at the bottom.

I designed these clips to pull the molding against the wall so that it looks a lot nicer and no light leaks out of the bottom. You only need to install one clip per mounting bracket. Install the clips so the top is flush against the bracket to ensure the location is correct.
