Clodbuster On Axle Steering

This Thing upgrades the old wobbly steering on the ClodBuster and Bullhead to a far more stable setup. Th plan with this upgrade was to try and keep it looking fairly stock from a distance, but still have the best possible steering. The mount fits to the side of the gearbox like many, however it still has mounts for the stock bars only moving them forward 3mm. To achieve this we have to use a low profile servo, but I think it's a fair compromise. There's a bit of a mix of screw lengths, most can be substituted for longer ones. Servo = JX PDI-4409MG Linkage hole to hole = 114mm Linkage studding = 98mm 1x M3x6 4x M3x10 2x M3x12 CS 1x M3x12 7x M3x14 2x M3x20 CS 1x M3x20 13x M3 washers 1x M3 nut Also needs a single long Traxxas rod end (TRX2742). I would consider the larger pack (TRX1942) and changing all the rod ends if you can, it'll require a couple of spacers and most likely a few more screws, but it'll take out most of the remaining play in the steering. If you try a different servo brand you might have to fiddle with the servo arm a little, the single arm with the JX PDI-4409MG sits very close to the servo body which helps squeeze everything in. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mKxI3kvEarw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> https://youtu.be/mKxI3kvEarw
