Print this to make a tube/rod/bar to hang things from. Sorry about the crappy title. I know it's not in tension and should be called a compression rod, but they're sold as tension rods here. If you want to hang heavier objects, you'll need a tougher tube. The end components are quite robust, so depending on your print method, length and tube; you might be able to get away with up to 30kg. Test and adjust. You want a tube that's not going to flex easily. If the tube bends, the feet move inwards and it doesn't work! You'll need to either find a rod or tube with 20mm OD, or use a rod of different size and apply the appropriate scaling factor. You'll need to print all four components. One end of the rod has a left-hand thread, and the other has a right hand thread. This means you can twist on the middle of the rod and push both 'feet' out, holding the rod in place. I'd suggest printing one of the 'inner' parts first so you can check that it fits onto your tube, then you'll know if you need to scale. Works well in PETG. The thread is quite coarse, so it should also work in PLA or ABS, but I haven't tested that yet. If you do, let me know!
