Cloth Face Mask with filter pocket and 3D Printed Nose Bridge

This is a cloth mask based on the Olson design and leveraged from a pattern published by Clayton Skousen and Rose Hedges of UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. This is a pattern that needs to be sewn. As the Covid--19 Pandemic spreads, many governments are recommending that users wear face masks to improve protection. Though this is not as good as a certified N95 mask, we hope that it can provide some help in the fight against the virus. The modifications add a 3D printed nose bridge to improve sealing around the nose area, and a pattern for cutting and installing a filter membrane (Vacuum Cleaner Bag, Coffee Filter, Merv 13 Furnace Filter, etc). Included in the files are instructions, templates for cutting out the fabric pieces (paper or 3D printable), a template for cutting the filter shape, and nine different sized nose bridges for 3D printing. The instructions are included in the images. Basically, cut the fabric, sew the mask, choose the right size nose bridge and install it (if desired), then install the filter (also if desired). There are two numbers for the nine sizes in the files. The 2H, 3H and 4H are widths at the base of your nose where it meets your cheek at about just below the bottom of your eye socket: 2H=32mm, 3H=36mm, 4H=40mm. The second number is the curvature of your cheek, or how far from the bridge edge back toward your ear does the bridge curve. 14=14mm (relatively flat faces), 16=16mm, 18=18mm (very curved faces). The nose bridge width is fairly easy to measure with a wire or ruler and some method to project to the base of your nose bridge. The curvature is difficult, 16mm seems to be the common one when I give these away. Note: We have received feedback that soaking the PETG nose bridges in very hot water softens them enough to be shaped to your nose for a tighter fit.
