Clothespin Mini Clamps/ Modular Clamping System

This turns a clothespin into a useful clamp for holding small parts, soldering, etc. The clamp includes a channel for adding elastic bands to increase pressure. Also included is a holder that will hold four of these pin clamps in a vertical orientation. The clamps should click into place and release with a protruding button. This holder will fit along the edge of the weighted base of my modular clamping system. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2759738 The holder requires 4 x No. 0 (4 x 1/2) wood screws to assemble as well as thin CA glue. To assemble: - Align the holes on the clip piece with the clamp back using the slightly protruding disks on the clamp back. Attach the two pieces by flooding the edges of the holes and the sides where the pieces join with CA glue. Don't glue along the upper edge or you might block the flexible clips. - Screw 4 x No. 0 screws into the sockets in the base. Gradually tighten these into their sockets until the assembly clicks securely into the sockets of the weighted base like a Lego brick. If you over tighten the screw so that the socket won't easily enter the hole, file or sand back the lower rim of the socket. - Place the clothespin in the frame and secure by flooding the seams of the bottom half with CA glue. Put the jaws on the end and secure with CA glue. - You might want to line the jaws with something soft and grippy. I find that the rubber from an inflatable balloon works well. Glue this down with thin CA glue and trim with a sharp knife. The rubber from an elastic band seems too thick and flexible. Keep in mind that the species of clothespin that I find at my local dollar store may not available in your corner of the universe.
