Cloud Surfer 2000mm RC Glider Wheel Mount

The Hobby King Cloud Surfer RC Glider is "lightly constructed". It has soft foam and some weak designs. Consequently, after a few landing, the center landing wheel collapses into the fuselage and no longer works. This design replaces the existing axle and outer bearings for the wheel with a "fender" sleeve (to line the wheel cutout hole) and mounting blocks for the bolt/axle. Included is a washer/spacer design to keep the wheel centered in the fender. Print two of those. You'll need to cut out 26mm x 26mm (approx) areas in the foam on each side of the wheel to install the new piece. I'd suggest you print it first, pull out the existing wheel hardware and then you will see where you need to cut foam. I installed it with hot glue. You could use contact cement if your gaps are small. You'll need a 4mm bolt, approx 60 mm long, and a 4mm nylon locknut. One side of the mount is designed to hold the nut. The design could probably be refined a bit here and there, but it fits pretty well and was good enough for my needs, so I glued it in. Feel free to "have at it" and make it better.
