The cnc machining center utilizes a 300 Series SST, 20 gauge, 0.375" thick material. The finish is left unaltered. Mechanical material removal processes employed include single-point cutting in turning, planing and shaping; multi-point cutting in milling, drilling, broaching, sawing; abrasive machining in grinding, honing, lapping; ultrasonic machining; abrasive jet machining. Chemical processes involve chemical machining, electrochemical machining (ECM). Thermal processes use torch cutting. Electrical discharge machining (EDM) and high energy beam machining are also utilized.
