Small footprint dust shoe for cnc spindle. Useful in tight places. Uses regular vacuum hose connection. Instructions I copied vastempty's dust shoe because I couldn't figure how to make his larger. My chinese spindle is 3.15" diameter. So I built one using 123d Autodesk and Netfabb. Then I used Slic3r & Printer Interface on my home-built Maker Gear printer. I cut the bottom 1" on the band saw so it would fit over the brush (there is a shelf on the bottom 1" to make it smaller for a tighter fit). I took an old furniture vacuum end and cut it at the base of the brush and the collecting tube. I then 5-Minute Epoxy'd the tube to the flat side after cutting a hole with my hole saw. The dust shoe has a nice small profile & hooks up to my portable vacuum.
