This is a simple, imperfect set of printable modifications for the off-the-shelf Miniq XY table (maybe even similar Proxxon XY tables) to enable it to be CNC controlled. These types of XY tables have become widely (and cheaply!) available. This project consists of five models: -A motor bracket for the X axis -A motor bracket for the Y axis -An end-stop mount for the X axis -An end-stop mount for the Y axis -A coupler that connects the motors to the table's handles (you'll need to print two of these - one for each axis) The motor brackets are made to fit NEMA 17 motors. The X axis bracket has two hexagonal holes. These are intended for standard 1/4" hex bolts. These act as anchor points to hold the bracket in place when slid into the XY table grooves. After inserting the bracket (with bolts installed) into the table, I recommend using a large washer and a wingnut to secure the bracket in place. This can be seen in the included images. The Y axis bracket, on the other hand, has no good direct attachment point. There are two hexagonal openings on this too. These are intended for standard 1/4" hex nuts. A screw can then be fed from the outside into the nut and tightened (on both sides) to hold the motor bracket in place. This can be seen in the included images. Since this part is being held in place solely by the pressure of the screws, you may want to apply some Loctite or something similar to the screws to prevent them from vibrating loose. The motor coupler has an insert which is also intended for a standard 1/4" hex nut. A short screw can then be fed through it to hold the whole thing in place when attached to the motor. Any sufficiently small screw and nut can be used on the handle end to attach to the hole in the table's handle. I personally used nylon M3 screws/washers/nuts. The endstop mounts are designed to use the existing screws at the end of each axis of the table. These are designed for lever microswitches commonly seen in 3D printers (widely available on the web). These should screw directly into the small holes on each mount. Similarly, this same type of switches should be mounted on each motor bracket. I am running my setup with an Arduino Uno with a CNC shield and two NEMA 17 2Amp 59Ncm motors. I'm also using GRBL 1.1. No warranty or guarantee for anything here. Use and modify responsibly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNL_IN8PlVQ
