WARNING:!!! The CO2 Cartridge MUST be empty. There are plenty of YouTube videos on releasing the gas. I do not accept responsibility for damages due to stupidity!

Using an empty CO2 cartridge for a you can cut the top of the cartridge with a hacksaw/dremel about 25mm from the top of the nipple. It's a good idea to sand paper the inside as these can be slightly rusted on the inside. Carefully glue the bottom (female thread) in the main canister making sure not to get glue in the threads. Glue the male thread part in the top.

Tips: You can sand top and bottom of the cartridge on a belt sander to clean them up and make them flush or cover up a bad hack job. You can also glue the bottom and then screw in the top and while the threads are locked together you can glue the top making sure no glue gets in the threads. That way the cartridge top/bottom line up nicely. This will help hide the seam later.
