I didn't want to spend the money to get GF9 roads for my table, so I designed this. The pattern is repeated, and when printing more than one they can be placed end to end and will match up at the edges. It is 70 mm x 210 mm, and to my eye it looks just right for 28mm scale miniatures. Please don't mind the Cipher in the photo, he's just mugging for the camera (which is to say it's the only photo of the road I have right now), and he's only about 50% painted. Instructions I printed this in ABS at .2mm 5% infill, then treated this in an acetone vapor bath to smooth out the layers. Next time, I'll likely print in .1 to get smoother results. I really had it painted quite nicely until I got all dry-brushy on it, and that kinda mucked it up. The good news is that with something like this I can just re-prime and re-paint and it won't hurt it. Depending on your printer, you might get QUITE a rough finish if you don't vapor it, but that's only because the detail is all in the X,Y and printers aren't great at that. I'm CONSIDERING modeling in some supports and printing it on its side. That might look better.
