UPDATE: I converted the model to solid, but made no changes to the shape. The model is now converted to STL files too, though the grip still doesn't have any internal structure, additional modeling or post processing is needed if the model is intended for functional 3D printing.I needed a 3D model of a Cobra flight grip and didn't find one, so I had to make it myself. It's an evolution version of the USAF standard B8/MC-2 grip. Here's a description by aircraft parts supplier: "The Cobra Grip was quickly embraced by helicopter manufacturers for the improved switch layout and rapid repairability. The expanded flexibility brought more flight systems and controls to the grip. This proven control grip has been flying for over 30 years. This grip places up to six switches in an ergonomic position for the right hand."Currently the model doesn't have the finishing or internal structure for 3D printing, but it's a good starting point for a printable (or going further, a mold tooling) model. It's purely for ergonomic evaluation and aesthetic purposes in modeling. The 100mm circle is included in case the unit conversion is messed up.
