This isn't technically a remix but a redesign. When challenged by some 1.78mm filament which was slipping in the factory extruder I needed a replacement for the factory extruder mechanism. This redesign takes into consideration that the original extruder is mounted to the frame using the stepper using just 2 screws and that the stepper is not flat on top. It also handles the larger bowden tube mount and nut found on the cocoon create model maker (and possibly the Monoprice I3 Mini) This design is very well supported against the top of the printer which takes stress of the 2 screw mount having to support the stepper. The design won't print without support and the best support is the raft design included which can be positioned carefully in the slicer and breaks away cleanly using pliers. Combined with the adjustable handle from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3552420 and the ExtruderCap from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3313471 it makes a complete solution and the adjustable tension prevents slippage on oversized filament.
