Coffee - French Don't-Press

Coffee - French Don't-Press

For the record, this is ridiculous and probably lands under the realm of unnecessary inventions. I use a coffee press at work, daily. There are three of us that share in the coffee made, and when it's our turn, we all have a particular way that we like to make it. For me, I've adopted James Hoffmann's "Ultimate French Press Technique" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st571DYYTR8) which, ironically, includes NOT PRESSING! My coworkers have a band tendency to make a pot but forget to comeback to press it (great if you like extremely bitter coffee...). This means they always press the pot when they see the press handle raised...which impacts my brew. This leads to my "Don't-Press". It's just a spacer to snap onto the press bar to stop anyone absentmindedly pressing the pot. It sits on the top of the lid, so it's never in direct contact with your coffee. That said, it will be subject to a bit of heat (more or less, depending on your style of French Press) so consider using a material with a bit more heat resistance. The tiny cup looking thing is a test print to make sure this will work on your press. It should have a little resistance clipping on, but be fairly loose once connected. Sorry for no live photo. I've only printed/used this at work so far so I haven't had a chance for a pic.
