Coffee & Pi (Raspberry Pi in a coffee can)

I have a bunch of empty coffee "cans" (for lack of a better word) laying around & I needed something to put this pi in so I made this. The can diameter is 156mm. I painted it black first to block light & then white to reflect it. We'll see how well it holds up. I might cover it with something else for UV protection once its set up permanently. The paints already peeling off the lid where I flexed it. Gotta touch that up when its done. 96 cents a can from Walmart what did I expect? The mount is made to go on a piece of 1/2" EMT. I put screw holes in there, but I didn't use them. I just used silicone to glue & seal everything. The Camera mount is for a Pi Noir camera with a 14mm diameter lens. You will need a piece of Lexan for the window. Put a piece of tape where the lens will be during installation. Drill a hole in the bottom for the wires to come in & it probably wouldn't hurt to throw a bag of desiccant in there too. The LED's are salvaged from an old security camera soldered in series. I added a 330w resistor in line to connect to a 12.5v power source which keeps the current low & the light is more than adequate for what I'm doing. Paint the LED mount before you install the LED's. It would have been cool to bed the LED's in some 5 min epoxy after testing, but I didn't have any so I guess silicone will have to do. http://hivetool.net/index.shtml https://github.com/rcrum003/HiveControl
