Cogs were used as freighters in the North and Baltic Seas from 12th to 15th centuries. This fantasy model sailing ship is based on a cog but it is more sophisticated. Actual cogs only had one sail, no wheelhouse, one rudder and less sophisticated poop decks and forecastles. They also did not have ratlines for climbing up to the masthead. The concept comes from the series of books, 'The Elf Saga' by Charles G. Dyer. (Books at Smashwords - https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/chas1951) This ship comes from a period about 10000BC (before the Flood) and was built and operated by the people of the advanced civilization of Atlantis. Ropes and rigging made the polycount too high, so individual planks for decks & hull were replaced with simpler textured planes.
