Disclaimer: I'm not an expert in Japanese swords, I just wanted to try my hand at modeling a Bokken (training katana/sword).This is a model of a polypropylene bokken made by the company Cold Steel. I bought one on Amazon and wanted to make a saya, so I modeled the bokken and saya together.If you're making this, you might want to check the tolerances in the design. I intend to laser cut the saya into sections and glue them together (because I don't have a 3d printer at the moment and because I want to use bamboo. Bamboo charrs easily, so don't expect to run into tight tolerance issues).
