Coleman Pump Halkey Roberts (HR) Adapter

Coleman Pump Halkey Roberts (HR) Adapter

I bought my daughter a gymnastics air mattress for Christmas, and it did not come with a pump. I assumed I could use a standard nozzle to inflate it, but it actually had a cool inflation port that kept air from coming out after you remove the pump nozzle. After a bit of research, I found out that it is a Halkey Roberts valve, commonly used on stand up paddle boards. I found an adapter on Thingiverse that would allow me to hook up a compressor (I have one, but this Air Track requires a pretty low PSI, and is too loud to use to pump up a Christmas gift and not wake the kids. I also found a Coleman pump nozzle that fits my model. So I took the two models, spliced them together, and added some wings (the print I first had was so tight I could barely get it in and out of the HR valve, so the wings help with leverage). I also moved the inner piece (that pushed the valve open) towards the front tabs, since on my Air Track, it was too far away and didn't push open the valve when it was latched on. I printed on my Anet A8 with supports. Be careful when removing the supports from the top tabs, as the first print I did I snapped off the latch when doing so. Also, the seal of hard plastic to hard plastic did let air escape, so I made a make shift gasket our of some rubber bands wrapped around the point where the two surfaces meet. It wasn't a perfect seal, but it will do until I can find a rubber washer with the right diameter to go around the valve.
