To optimize space, I utilized an extruder with i3 adapter, modifying the original design in Blender (provided file for customization). This allowed for a longer motor with a shorter shaft and normal gears. After printing, I set 5 shell layers, 5 bottom/top layers, 12% infill, and 0.16 layer height for strong bonding. Cura was used for slicing, and ABS was the material of choice. Future improvements may involve redesigning the idler; I employed a 8mm smooth rod at the bottom and a 7.5mm threaded rod (rated at 8mm) on top. This ensures proper filament gripping as the top idler slightly flattens it. However, adjustments are challenging without inspection holes for verifying correct grip, requiring trial and error.
